At Summer Story, we believe the most meaningful gifts tell a story.

Our journey began long before our first candle was poured or our first gift box was wrapped. Nineteen years ago, I founded Secret Diary, a boutique design and print studio built on a love for beautiful branding, thoughtful details, and creating meaningful experiences. With over 20 years in the design industry, I was fortunate to work with incredible clients, bringing their stories to life through paper, print, and creativity.

But there was always another dream quietly growing.

I wanted to create products of my own — pieces that felt beautiful to hold, a joy to give, and a pleasure to receive. Products crafted with care, using clean, thoughtfully sourced ingredients and timeless design. That dream became Summer Story.

Today, we proudly partner with some of South Africa's finest artisans and manufacturers to create a carefully curated collection of gifts, home fragrance, bath and body products, edible treats, and keepsakes. Every product is selected or developed with intention, with quality, craftsmanship, and beautiful design at its heart. Wherever possible, we choose clean, skin-kind ingredients because we believe luxury should feel as good as it looks.

Summer Story is inspired by slow mornings, salty sea air, blooming gardens, sun-filled homes, and the simple joy of celebrating life's meaningful moments. Every collection is designed to help you mark milestones, spoil someone you love, or simply make an ordinary day feel a little more special.
